Temp in the 40’s - Overcast, Gusty Winds, light sprinkles.
Overall place 528/1545, Males: 357/688, Age Group: 29/54. Pace is based on my net time, the official results have a pace of 8:49/mile.
Dressed the part in a green shamrock stovepipe hat and shamrock beads along with green and orange clothes so I did not take the run as “serious” as I could have but the pace for me is my new PR for a 5K. By serious I mean a total do or die effort and stressing out out the whole darn thing.
When I want to accomplish in these races is to be mentally focused on doing my best using the proper form and techniques that don’t harm my body. This should provide me both fitness and fun.
Shoes: Brooks Beast and original socks I bought with the shoes.

Temp in the 50’s…Nice. 1st time taking the work neighborhood route in a while. Ran the route in reverse so the wind would be at my back as I finished. Feeling good, a little sore from yesterday’s bike spill.

1st time on this route in a while. Very bumpy and rutty. Bad spill on the segment that connects the river route to the ferry route that banged up my right elbow, knee and a road rash on my calf. Luckily I missed the sharp fence wire and fence post. Bike is OK but what an Ouchie!
Very windy after the turnaround. I lost about 5-7 mph for the entire ride back. Crazy
Trek 720 hybrid.

Temp near 50 degrees. Sunny and beautiful. Took the straight trail route and extended the side route to about a half mile in before the turnaround.
More “traffic” on the trail (cars and dirt bikes) plus there was some shooting a the gun range. The trail was mostly dry with some decent size puddles. Soon the spring thaw will flood the route so I am going to get as much running on this route as I can.
The New Balance 476’s still feel good (2nd day in a row).

Tem in the 40’s, mild with good sunshine even at 5 pm. Good to wear shors again.
Took the straight trail route with a side route of about 1/2 mile in to the turnaround. Lots of stoops, kinda winded and or mentally not there. I thing the GPS was out of whack. It indicated I did 6+ miles when I am asure it was over by 1 mile.
The New Balance 476 shoes felt good again (2nd time outside now about 25 miles worn).
