Run - Indoors - Treadmill

Looking to break in a new pair of New Balance 476 trail shoes to see if they fit and are keepers. I seem to have a problem with rubbing and blisters on my left foot just below my big toe with NB shoes. So far they seem OK.

Run - Indoors - Treading lightly

Once again it’s kinda cold and winday to run outside so I thought I would do the treadmill thing and see if I could work on my speed as it is.

Not a bad run. I did about 1 miles at a pace of 8:20 mile and the last .25 mile at at pace of 8:00 mile. I might have been able to run another mile or so but it seemed like I might be developing a blister on my left foot so why risk it.

Warmup - 7:50 .64 mile stocking feet
Run - 26:49 3.01 miles
Cool Down - 7;11 .50 mile stocking feet

On the cool down I walked backwards for the first 2 minutes at a pace of 30:00/mile. Yes,walking backwards is easy on a normal surface but it was kinda strange to do it on the treadmill and not fall down. I don’t think I can do it at a quicker pace at this time. :(

Tomorrow is the last workout of 2009!

Run - Outdoors - 70 degrees in December in CT?

Yep.  It hit 70 today and while I did not plan to run I did a jog/run at work in some ill fitting running shoes.  I did  new route outside that was about 3.1 miles and included some hills. Sweating outside in December!!!  I went back inside and did a 12 minute mile in my stocking feet.
